CS GROUP and its partners INTERTECH GROUP & BEWARE CYBERLABS: A French trio for cybersecurity from the Ghanaian Government

Le Plessis Robinson – October 24, 2019

Faced with very strong international competition, a French trio consisting of INTERTECH GROUP, CS GROUP and BEWARE CYBERLABS won the cybersecurity contract from the Ghanaian government, financed by the World Bank.
Ghana, the African leader in the digitalisation of its economy, has invested heavily in a broadband network throughout its territory, linked to its national data centre, hosting all government servers and applications as well as those of a few major private players.
The Ghanaian government, represented by the Ministry of Communications, has therefore launched an international call for tenders for the establishment of a SOC-NOC (Cyber Security and Network Operations Center) to oversee the cybersecurity and performance of this national data centre.

INTERTECH GROUP and CS GROUP, through its subsidiary in the field of cybersecurity
CS-Novidy’s, will deploy the SOC-NOC based on the integration of French technologies, developed by CS GROUP, Prelude SIEM and Vigilo NMS, in the national data centre, and set up the governance system necessary for its operation. As for the Bordeaux start-up, Beware Cyberlabs, it will install its CTC Cyber Training Centre, a simulation and training platform for cybersecurity within the Ministry of Communications, in order to strengthen the detection and incident response capacities of the SOC operators, but also to upgrade the various Ministry staff in the face of cybersecurity threats and problems.

Beyond the skills and references of the consortium members in cybersecurity, the Ghanaian government was attracted by the open-source origin of the products developed by CS GROUP, which enables it to ensure its digital sovereignty. In addition, wishing to be part of the long term with this first national SOC, the choice of an SIEM product compatible with the international standards of intrusion detection (IDMEF RFC 4765 and IODEF RFC 7970) represents a guarantee of sustainability.

INTERTECH GROUP, is an integrator of cyber-security systems very active with state actors in Africa and the Middle East.

CS GROUP is a designer, integrator and operator of intelligent critical cyber-protected systems. With its 2010 employees, CS Group has a turnover of more than €220 million, 20% of which is in the field of cyber security, through its subsidiary CS Novidy’s.

BEWARE CYBERLABS specialises in the development of cyber security platforms for training and simulation.
