Optimizing the product life cycle
PLM / BIM

A strategic challenge when improving performance

In a fiercely competitive and constantly changing market, companies are seeking solutions that will allow them to reduce time to market and costs and improve the quality of increasingly complex products and services.

PLM is a strategic engine for the creation, management and sharing of information and processes in the corporate ecosystem throughout the life cycle of products and services (from design to maintenance).

PLM is an overall approach that stimulates the development of products and services.

Acknowledged expertise

CS GROUP has acquired extensive experience in the creation and implementation of overall PLM strategies adapted to clients’ needs.

These strategies are based on an analysis of the context and the existing situation (scoping phase), the adaptation of industrial processes and the implementation of related tools. CS GROUP supports its clients as they move forward with their digital transformation projects in a range of sectors: aeronautics, defense, energy and transportation.

PLM: several different dimensions

The expertise of CS GROUP in digital simulation, PLM and Maintenance 4.0 makes us into a recognized actor in the field of digital continuity.

CS GROUP’s offering addresses several different dimensions:

Configuration management

This is the cornerstone of PLM. We help our clients to define or adapt their configuration management plan, and to implement it within their PLM software environment. Our expertise is based on the standard ISO 10007:2017.

Document management

By pairing PLM with recognized EDM systems, CS GROUP takes account of the vital importance of structured documentation.

BIM (Building Information Modeling)

By coupling BIM data with PLM, CS GROUP deploys digital continuity in the design, development and operation of infrastructure.

Our expertise is based on the implementation of the following standards: ISO 19650 (defining the level of maturity of buildings), ISO 23386:2020 and ISO 23387:2020 (defining data shared between the different stakeholders).

Geographical data

The implementation of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), paired with the PLM system (taking location into account when this is relevant) makes it possible to address asset management, territorial management and crisis management issues.

CS GROUP & its PLM partners

Restauration des Terrains en Montagne (RTM, ONF) – GIS for natural risks in mountainous areas

  • The RTM is a grouping of French forestry services within the National Forestry Office (ONF) that specializes in natural risks in mountainous areas, focusing both on prevention (building protective structures) and supporting crisis management officers. Its databases currently concern 11 mountainous départements (in the Alps and the Pyrenees), and are combined with a Geographic Information System (GIS).

AIRBUS DEFENSE & SPACE – 3DExperience

  • Implementation of a shared Dassault Système 3DX platform (CATIA, ANOVIA, DELMIA) in three Business Units. This platform is interfaced via Tibco with Windchill developed by PTC and ERP SAP.
CMMS

Optimizing the management of infrastructure equipment

A strategic challenge in equipment management

The implementation of a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) guarantees the effective operational maintenance of an equipment portfolio.

This is achieved by implementing processes for:

  • benchmarking
  • corrective and curative maintenance
  • planned maintenance
  • conditional maintenance.

Once these core processes are in place, the CMMS also makes it possible to implement other functions and processes closely related to maintenance: procurement management, stock management, etc.

Acknowledged expertise

CS GROUP has acquired extensive experience in implementing integration projects for CMMS systems adapted to our clients’ needs.

CMMS implementation by CS GROUP is based on:

  • proposing a solution adapted to the client’s needs
  • setting up workshops in order to configure the maintenance processes and client organization in the most effective way
  • integrating the solution in the client’s IS by setting up interfaces with its other management systems.

CS GROUP supports its clients as they move forward with their digital transformation projects in the following phases:

  • solution initialization
  • design
  • development
  • acceptance
  • production
  • end user support

CMMS: a range of different dimensions

CS GROUP expertise in CMMS and Maintenance 4.0 makes us a recognized player in the field of digital continuity.

The CS GROUP offering addresses several different dimensions:

BIM (Building Information Modelling)

By coupling BIM data with PLM, CS GROUP deploys digital continuity in the design, development and operation of infrastructure. Our expertise is based on the implementation of the following standards: ISO 19650 (defining the level of maturity of buildings), ISO 23386:2020 and ISO 23387:2020 (defining data shared between the different stakeholders).

Geographical data

The implementation of Geographical Information Systems (GIS), paired with the PLM system (taking location into account when this is relevant) makes it possible to address asset management, territorial management and crisis and intervention management issues.

Interoperability with connected objects (IoT)

Connected objects that automatically provide information within infrastructures are a key factor in more sophisticated maintenance systems, making it possible to implement automated conditional maintenance processes in order to avoid equipment malfunctions.

CS GROUP, with its technical expertise in the field of connected objects and its extensive core competencies, is a major player able to integrate data provided by connected objects into CMMS systems in order to ensure the effective management of equipment life cycles.
