CS GROUP is proud to announce its participation in the French-Canadian DEEL (DEpendable & Explainable Learning) consortium. With a budget of $7.5 million in Quebec and $40 million internationally, this major research project will aim to develop and evaluate new techniques to ensure that artificial intelligence algorithms (notably machine learning or “deep learning”) on board aircraft are safe and cyber-protected, which is in the DNA of CS GROUP.

Together with Thales Canada, CAE, Bombardier Aerospace and Bell Textron Canada, and in collaboration with four major Canadian universities, we will participate in the development and evaluation of the “certifiability” of reliable artificial intelligence algorithms, thus creating industrial proofs of concept that will aim to define the next standards.

We would like to thank the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Aerospace in Quebec (CRIAQ) and the Institut de valorisation des données (IVADO), two organizations of which we are active members, for their efforts in bringing this historic project to fruition. The transformation of the aerospace industry is well underway and we are delighted to be part of it!
